Saugus records $1.7 million home sale as September deed activity spans wide price range
Saugus recorded 15 property transfers between Aug. 28 and Sept. 26, with eight sales carrying a price on file so far, ranging from $534,500 to $1.7 million and a median of $652,500. The month's top sale was 29 Hammersmith Dr. at $1.7 million, followed by 25 Margate Ave. at $1,049,900. Hammersmith Drive and Saville Street each saw two recorded transfers. At least six of the 15 deeds involved a trust as buyer or seller, and seven transfers have no recorded price yet, which is normal for recently filed deeds rather than a sign of undisclosed terms.
