Finance Committee reviews FY27 town budgets at level-funded meeting.
Finance Committee · Meeting of April 8, 2026
Saugus Finance Committee completes preliminary FY27 budget review with most departments level-funded. Chairman Kenneth DePatto and committee members Theresa Katsos, Steven DiVirgilio, Marc Magliozzi, Matthew Ragucci, and David Defilippis discussed eleven town budgets, with the Veterans Services position transitioning from part-time regional shared service with Wakefield and Melrose to a full-time town employee--the largest structural change. Town Manager Scott Crabtree confirmed the Accounting Department is fully staffed and noted that legal professional and technical services costs continue to rise.
The Committee will resume budget review the following week.
