Saugus Selectmen hold sewer rates flat for fiscal 2027
Board of Selectmen · Meeting of June 2, 2026
Saugus Board of Selectmen freezes sewer rates for fiscal 2027 despite three proposed increases. Consultant Matt Abrahams of the Abrahams Group LLC presented scenarios ranging from four to six percent, citing the town's five-year capital plan and retained earnings analysis. The Board, citing healthy retained earnings and fiscal 2026 revenues exceeding projections from the water meter replacement program, voted unanimously 5-0 to approve a zero percent rate increase.
Residents will see no change in their sewer bills.
