Saugus Selectmen approve $4.8 million bond sale

Saugus Board of Selectmen approves $4.8 million bond issuance. The board unanimously approved the sale of $4,775,000 in General Obligation Municipal Purpose Bonds dated June 25, 2026, to Brownstone Investment Group, LLC at a purchase price of $5,193,583.50, with repayment over 20 years at interest rates from 4 percent to 5 percent. Chairman Debra Panetta, Vice Chair Anthony Cogliano, and Selectmen Jeff Cicolini, Michael Serino, and Frank Federico voted unanimously.
The board also unanimously approved a two-day wine and malt liquor license, common victualer's license, and entertainment license for the Holy Ghost Festival in July, with conditions including volume reduction at 10 p.m. and parking restrictions on multiple streets.
