Saugus Schedules Summer Street Paving to Begin Monday

SAUGUS — Paving crews are scheduled to begin restoration work on Summer Street on Monday, Aug. 24, repaving the roadway after months of National Grid gas main work in the area, the town announced Wednesday.

Saugus's Town Manager's office issued a News Flash update Wednesday confirming that paving on Summer Street will start Monday, Aug. 24, as restoration work tied to the National Grid gas main project. The paving marks the closing phase of infrastructure work that has affected the street for months.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Saugus Public Library will wrap up its 2026 Summer Concert Series at the Iron Works with a performance by Ditto Band on the site's big lawn on Wednesday, Aug. 26, the library announced. The show follows Wednesday's earlier season concerts at the same venue.

Library patrons can also look ahead to Adult Craft Night, returning Tuesday, Sept. 1, with a program centered on making trinket dishes from oyster shells and Mod Podge. Online registration for the session opened Aug. 18, according to the library.
