Saugus Library's Summer Concert Series Returns With Coco Brown and the Invitation

The Saugus Public Library's Summer Concerts at the Iron Works series continues Wednesday, Aug. 19, with a free outdoor performance by Coco Brown and the Invitation, the library announced this week.

The concert is the newest addition to the library's summer lineup of free public programming at the Iron Works. The library promoted the show as its latest "Learn More" feature on its site, alongside its ongoing calendar of family and youth events.

The library has a busy stretch ahead: CFCE Messy Mornings for ages 0 to 5 meets Monday, Aug. 17, at 9:30 a.m. (registration required), followed that day by the J.C.C. Academy's Massachusetts AI Literacy Initiative session at noon and Making Jewelry with Mandy at 4:30 p.m. A CFCE Playgroup for ages 0 to 2 meets Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 9:30 a.m.

On the municipal side, the Board of Selectmen meets Tuesday, Aug. 18, the Conservation Commission meets Wednesday, Aug. 19, and the Planning Board meets Thursday, Aug. 20. Saturday, Aug. 22, is the last day for residents to register to vote ahead of the September 1 town election.
