Board of Selectmen · Meeting of June 2, 2026

SAUGUS — The Saugus Board of Selectmen approved licenses for a new burger chain and two livery taxi operators at its June 2 meeting. Members voted 5-0 to grant a common victualler license to 880 Broadway BB LLC, doing business as 7th Street Burger, letting owner Kevin Rezivani open a 34-seat location with hours of 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. and six employees per shift. The board also voted 5-0 to grant a taxi livery license to Juan Carlos Mesa for JP Luxury Rides LLC at 863 Broadway, after debating how many liveries an apartment building may host under town bylaw.

A continued hearing on a Zerawa Transportation livery license closed after the operator installed a fence to satisfy neighbors, with Selectman Michael Serino confirming the work in person. Davis Court resident Alan Alpert asked the board to address lawn damage from winter salting and narrow snowplowing, calling it "negligence on the part of the town," a complaint the board referred to the town manager.
