Saugus home sales range from $563,000 to just over $1 million in late-summer stretch

Saugus recorded 15 property sales between July 24 and Aug. 22, according to Essex County Registry of Deeds filings. Of those, 11 listed a sale price, ranging from $563,000 for 73 Sweetwater St to $1,016,000 for 9 Hammersmith Dr Lot 121, with a median of $720,000. The month's top sale was the Hammersmith Drive property, sold by trustee Carmen F. Merlino to Kellie Elliott. Stillings Road was the only street with two recorded transfers. Four deeds involved a trust or estate, including two same-name individual-to-trust transfers with no price disclosed. Most recorded addresses carried condominium-style lot or unit numbers.
