Saugus approves $126.4 million fiscal 2027 operating budget in June Town Meeting. The body voted 47-0-1 on Article 2, appropriating $126,380,605 for town operations, funded by $1,837,839 in free cash, tax levy, local aid, and estimated receipts. The meeting separately approved a 2.5 percent water rate increase (48-1), a $9.2 million Water Enterprise Fund appropriation, a $7.8 million Sewer Enterprise Fund appropriation, and a $351,000 PEG Access studio operating budget, all supported by Finance Committee recommendations.
The meeting adjourned sine die by unanimous consent.
