Board of Selectmen approves cable TV budget and five licensing requests.

SAUGUS — Board of Selectmen approves $351,000 cable TV budget and five business licenses. Chair Debra Panetta and the full five-member board voted unanimously to fund Saugus Cable TV's FY27 operations at $351,000, including $270,500 in salaries and a $30,000 capital improvements allocation. The board granted special permits for Mind's Eye Tattoo Co. at 184 Broadway and a Common Victualer's License for Ava Pizza, LLC at 1201 Broadway, subject to Board of Health and Fire Department approvals.

A taxi/livery license was approved for Blue Nile Executive Services at 40 Pearson Street; a second livery application from Sukhjinder Singh was continued to June 2, 2026, pending installation of a driveway barrier to block Jefferson Avenue access. The board also unanimously approved traffic measures on Franklin, Dow, and Central streets.
